It's been awhile....

It has been awhile since I posted....almost a month. I realize that may be awhile for the 2 people who read my blog. But since the audience is so small. I think that they might get over it....eventually. So anyways....developments. I am going to New York! I am moving at the end of the month...I found an apartment in Rockaway Park, Queens. I am hoping that the neighborhood pans out to be all that I think it will. I am a bit nervous. New York is a city of what.... 8 Million people!!! That is a bit more than Pacifica...so...I am a bit nervous.

 

My job in New York will put me in charge of approxiamtely 700 employees - which is a big jump from the 165 that report to me currently. But it isn't the job that intimidates me so much. I think it is more the preconcieved notion I have of New York. I have watched a lot of movies and read a lot of books....not many of them paint New York in the best of lights. No wis this fact or fiction? I guess that I am about to find out.

 

My apartment is just off the beach - which will be nice in the summer - maybe not so nice in the winter. But I think the tradeoff will be OK. Maybe even a little bit fun.
